Beachbeat surfboards
first and last a surfboard company

There are many Champions and legends who have chosen our boards; Nat young , Mickey Dora, Gary Elkerton, Michael Demont, Will Eastham, Robyn Davies , Ben Skinner, Justin Matteson (USA), Glyndon Ringrose (WCT) to name but a few and we continue to ship boards all over the world. We ship to all of our European neighbours and were the first (and only) European based manufacturer to ship to Japan. The reason our boards are valued so widely is simple; we produce high quality, high performance designs that work. We receive a constant flow of feedback from our team of traveling riders that, together with our contact with many other top international shapers who visit our factory, we use to continually update our designs.

Cord surfboards
represents a surfing heritage stretching back to thegolden age of surfing.

From the hottest underground label in Australia in the mid 60's comes a rebirth, same templates, same attitude and the same family business. If you're looking for a "retro" longboard you're probably in the wrong place. Cord surfboards are the genuine article not a pastiche based on what the modern shaper thinks the boards were like.

They're real.

NAT YOUNG REV

Nat Young Boards
Nat - The original animal.

His designs reflect his approach to surfing, ATTACK and FLOW. Boards are up to 9'6" and come in 2 plan shapes featuring either a rounded pin tail or rounded square tail. The unique feature of Nat's designs is the wide point being moved further back to create a lot more curve through the tail section and giving the board a smaller nose area. All boards come with a box and side fins in addition to full colour spray under a gloss and polish finish. Various fin configurations can be specified but standard fitting is Fin Solutions side fins on Nat Young models. All prices include one of our glass centre fins which are custom foiled to our templates.

Empire boards are alternative rather than Retro. Going back to the point at which everybody jumped onto thrusters and looking at the alternatives with 30 years of hindsight and advancement. These boards are designed with modern rails and rockers but with alternative templates and fin combinations and give each surfer the freedom to express their own unique style.

Every Empire board is built from the finest materials and to the highest standard by some of the country’s top craftsmen.

As the enthusiasts know, this Californian gentleman is one of the original surf stars from the 60's. Considered a highly influential figure in the progression of surfing from the beginnings into current day surfing.  Bob Cooper has always had an individuality that will indefinitely shine. Examples range from his innovative Surfboard designs to his stylish surfboard artwork and presence in the water. A very charismatic surfer he combined his passion for surfing waves with very skilled techniques and craftsmanship that traded well with the pioneer board manufacturers of the time in Australia.  To mention a few, the likes of Gordon Woods, Gary Bennett, Joe Larkin, Midget Farrelly, Kevin Platt (CORD Surfboards) all benefited from Bobs experiences with Yater, Velzy and many other top Californian surfboard builders.  The CORD surfboards label was booming in Australia at the time, with many of the best surfers in the country on CORD Surfboards and Bob Cooper’s interest in the East coast brought the area, waves and surfboard shapes to the attention of many noted people in the surfboard industry worldwide.  With the original surfboard designs from the period and his ever-evolving shapes Bob Cooper, creates interest and involvement in the 'core' surfing industry where ever he goes.

In May 2007 he visited the UK for the first time since 1969. The result is a range of boards that reflect the vast extent of bob’s experience and knowledge.
